So Tired!

It has been a very looong and extremely tiring week, which will only continue being really stressful and mad tiring till next thursday :(
I'm barely survivng- lack of sleep and all..
Many things have been happening all at once, making me really tired.
Such is life I guess... suck thumb and try to survive. Haha.

There were 10 things on my to-do list at the beginning of this week...
1. CP practical exam
2. Health Psychology Presentation
3. Paediatrics practical exam
4. Social Psychology exam
5. FYP viva defence
6. Exercise Physiology report submission
7. MS practical exam
8. Paediatrics written report
9. Exercise Physiology exam
10. Social Psychology written assignment

and so far, only 3 items have been checked off the list, with psychology exam tml.
It's gonna be one hell of a week man. Especially with MS prac.
Today's prac lesson totally made me feel so STRESSED UP! that's why i'm blogging. HAHA.
always the procrastinator, and forever will be.

trying to write my paeds assignment now, to no avail cuz brain totally not functioning :(

Well, looking on the bright side, I'll be relieved of all the stress temporarily after next thurs, and start the whole stress cycle again the following week as that marks the start of attachment at SGH!
But at least I would finally be able to have a good night's rest before heading off to SGH. Have to be thankful yo~
LOL.
All that being said, I still don't regret joining this course as I know what I do in the future will be meaningful, although the stress level and workload will definitely be high.
But that's just life isn't it. Who doesn't have stress anyway, it's just how/what a person does to overcome them which matters most. AND I WILL SURVIVE! :D

Procrastination is the worse thing ever!
why oh why do I always do this and end up panicking like mad and regretting.
I keep telling myself 'do work', but always end up NOT doing them.
Somebody kill me please. 
This is really bad.
When I think of all the things that needs to be done, I START PANICKING LIKE MAD!
and I'm still wasting time ranting about it here.

HOWDY!
T'was a great day yesterday despite having FYP meeting early in da mornin'.
Went to school for the meeting, then waited for them to fetch me from school....and off we go on a journey all over Singapore!


Firstly, we went to have brunch at Prive Cafe at Keppel Bay. It's a nice place... wanted to get the pancakes but they only had full menu after 6pm :( Instead, I had a plate of Caesar Salad(which had poached eggs) so yummy!


The place has a nice view of all the 'boats', so we sat outside despite the super hot weather.

After having brunch and talking crap, we made our way to Queensway shopping centre cuz fatty wanted to find shoes. However, our trip there was wasted cuz he didn't manage to get any single thing! He was looking around while the rest of us just lepak while we waited for him. Tsk. haha

What I was looking forward to, was ice cream at Ben & Jerry's at Dempsey Hill!

It's a really nice place with nice ambience. Service is good too!

I had waffle cone with Chocolate Fudge and mint icecream shared with Eileen! So yummy! (and fattening. boo!)

And we took lots of photos and lepak somemore at B&J to kill time as we were meeting Da Jie for dinner.

So after killing about 2 hours, we head off the Jalan Besar for Dim Sum at Swee Choon.
Nice place for Dim Sum and the price is affordable too :)
We ordered so much food that we were all feeling really bloated at the end of dinner >.<
Then Rui Ting suggested we go for Tao Huay (are you kidding me?) Cuz she didn't join us for the whole day trip.. haha.. But we rejected it vehemently! 
So we went to play pool and Ang Mo Kio instead.
Reached home at almost 2am..
Such a tiring but fun day! Didn't had so much fun for a very loooong time.
I always seem to be like myself whenever I'm with this bunch of friends. Really grateful to have met them :))

UPDATES. for this week.

Friday

Marks the end of 8 weeks in school, the beginning of 2 weeks 'study break'. The reason why i put the inverted commas is cuz... this is totally not a break at all. So many things to do, gotta rush assignments, study, go to school for practice and meetings... my gosh. There's no breather at all. 

And to make matters worse, I went to the doctor for consultation regarding my right heel which has been bothering me since who knows when.. Doc said it was warts. AND IT FREAKING GREW ON MY HEEL!WTH!! Normally, a wart grows outwards, but since I was weight-bearing on my heel, the wart grew INWARDS instead. It actually went quite deep in. And doc decided to cut them off there and then, catching me off-guard. I was all dressed up ready to go catch Madagascar 3 with my friends and all.. that totally blew everything off. Oh, did i mention i had 2 warts? One on the border of my left foot, one on the right heel. 

So, i went into the room, lay face done and doc told me ' Please do not move your leg or scream at me, cuz the anaesthesia jab is gonna hurt real bad.' I was so scared! And it really hurt real bad!! I was on the verge of tears. I held it in on the first jab to the left ( the smaller wart) but the second one was like 10/10 pain. INTOLERABLE!

The procedure following that was pain-free~ but i could feel the doctor snipping and pulling and smell my burning flesh cuz he burnt the affected part away. So next thing I heard was ' oh dear this is so deep (refering to the right heel)' So worrying. and then he went on saying that there was a lot of blood. OMG!

Haha.. so this was how my right foot looked like all wrapped up!

After the procedure was done, i felt sooooo giddy and felt like vomitting. seriously bad. And i couldn't walk cuz the analgesia for the left side was fading off.. no choice but to go home alone in the cab. and i nearly fainted while waiting for the cab -.-

So I spent the whole of Sat resting/sleeping at home cuz I didn't want to rely on Ponstan to relief pain, my sleep was totally affected.

Sunday

So then today is my paternal cousin's wedding which was held at Fullerton Hotel.

My parents were busy at the market so Winni and I had to be their representatives. So, the 'bai ka' me had to go there limping.

It was an expensive meal ($150 per pax) and it tasted HORRIBLE. Totally didn't expect the food to taste that bad since it cost so much and all... and the service is not up to par either. 

1.) The Food.

- Cold plate: consisted of the normal things like jelly fish, prawn, roasted duck and char siew. The char siew was totally full of fats, with very little meat. And the prawn was totally tasteless and processed prawn was used.

- Shark's fin soup: this was supposed to be a delicacy, but i find that this dish was really plain, and the shark's fin was really fishy. Had to add lots of vinegar to cover it up. And personally, I'm not really supportive of people eating shark's fin cuz of how they get the fin and all... SAY NO TO ANIMAL CRUELTY!

- Scallop with Asparagus: All i can say is, there were so much asparagus and only 2 PROCESSED scallop which tasted really weird. Had to add so much chilli sauce to cover the taste.

- Steamed Grouper: So over-rated. One would expect a grouper's meat to be soft, but the one they served was hard.Like those over-cooked kinda texture. Which means the grouper was most probably those frozen kind. Hmmm. What exactly are consumers paying for??

- Roasted Chicken: really dry, no fragrance.

- NOODLES!: TOTALLY BAD! it was literally SOAKED IN OIL! There were residual oil in the bottom of the bowl! totally yucks

- Yam paste with coconut milk: totally SWEET. Not much yam taste.

OVERALL: FAIL!

2.) Service

One would expect the service to be good at Fullerton Hotel right, but this server we had was not exactly up to standard I would say. Firstly, the server occasionally forgot to ask if we still wanted the food and just cleared it away. Secondly, there were a few times she knocked into me while clearing the plates of others and she did not apologise or even  showed any signs that she did anything wrong. Thirdly, when her fellow colleague forgot to serve my aunt her dessert and she asked for it, the server actually rolled her eyes and gave us the 'black face'. Hows that for professionalism??

I'm not trying to be overly critical and all, but isn't Fullerton supposed to be a 5-star hotel?? So how come the overall feel that they gave me was that of a lousy one? Well, maybe not all the staff there were as unprofessional as the one who served us, she most probably was the black sheep. But food-wise? Totally not up to par. That's all I can say. I just feel that my aunt and uncle's money was not well-spent.at all.

Well, anyway, my uncle drove sis and I home after the meal :))

okay, so I was intending to blog about this AGES ago, but was waiting for my sister to upload the photos... BUT, she didn't get down to it.. so, i've decided to blog about it now. lol.


So.
last last Sunday, cousin dearie decided to bring hers and my family out for dinner at Jack's place. Adding the numbers, there were 9 of us. However, just as we were about to leave house, my other aunt decided to show up at my doorstep. However, she did not know about the dinner plans. But, being family, of course we asked her along (without my cousin knowing). So the dinner date became a big thing with 16 of us, and my cousin treating with her first pay.. the look in her eyes when she saw the number of people. Ah but true to her words, she paid for all of us. <3  
so. here are the few pictures i took along the way since my sister has a better camera.
